But right now, Apple is Secretariat at the Belmont. And the company, to a person, seems hell-bent on not letting any competitor catch up.
I’ve made it clear before that I’m not on any company’s team. But I also believe this to be true. The reason my bag is filled with Apple products is because these products are superior to competitors. Not because Apple made them.
I want someone to make something better. Desperately. I’ve wanted Android to be better. I want Google TV to be great. I thought WebOS could really compete (and still think it could have if not for Palm/HP dropping the ball). But the fact is when I’m spending my money, I want iPads, iPhones, and Macs.
