The problem with business chat with Apple is the backend seems to be using a live chat model. If you don’t respond QUICKLY your session is lost and you’re routed to a new person. That person then has to review the chat confirm again what you’re looking for and basically start the process over again. I’m using iMessage. I’m not staring at my phone the whole time. It might take a few moments. The system needs to be able to handle that. If they’re going to cut off my session with my current specialist they should AT LEAST TELL me before they do. Especially when they tell me they need to check into something and don’t respond for several minutes.
